Hacks, And Then We Danced and Ricky Martin back when he was a twunk
"Nobody wants to be lonely." Same, Ricky!
Happy Easter! This time of year, we celebrate eggs and bunnies. Specifically, the hot bunny from Donnie Darko.

No, wait! Come back!! Furries are always welcome here, but I'm actually talking about the guy under the mask.

James Duval was a poster boy for hot gay stuff in the 90s thanks to Gregg Araki's Teen Apocalypse Trilogy. I bet you'll never look at Donnie Darko the same way now.

Queer and Now
Everything new in the world of queer TV and film
β Hacks is back for its fifth season, which will also be the last. I can't say much more at this point, but just know that things have never been more sapphic between Ava and Deborah.
US fans can watch Hacks from April 9th while UK fans should put themselves in a self-induced coma until April 17th, which is when this final run begins in the good ol' British Isles.
β I'm so sorry, but Schitt's Creek did nothing for me. I know, how is that even possible? I'm GAY! But I'm still looking forward to watching Dan Levy's new Netflix show regardless.
Levy plays a queer priest β always love a queer priest β who teams up with Rachel Sennot to be gay, do crime. Check out Big Mistakes on Netflix from April 9th.
β Just when I thought Brazilians couldn't get hotter, they give us an erotic thriller named Night Stage, which, well, it did things to me. Let's put it that way.
Gabriel Faryas plays a hot actor named Matias and Cirillo Luna plays a hot politician named Rafael who enjoy doing hot stuff together in public places. Did I mention it's hot? Thankfully, Night Stage is actually really interesting on a thematic level too β yes, really! β and it's gorgeously shot by writer-directors Marcio Reolon and Filipe Matzembacher.
Check Night Stage out in UK cinemas from today before it heads to VOD on May 11th. There are also some special UK screenings which I've outlined below:
Q&A screenings
3rd April - , 6pm Curzon Bloomsbury Get Tickets
4th April - 4pm The Arzner Bermondsey Get Tickets
4th April - 8.30pm Rio Dalston Get Tickets
Special Screenings
Naturist screening - 4th April, 8pm Rio Dalston Get Tickets
Fetish Friendly screening - 4th April, 8.45 pm The Arzner Bermondsey Get Tickets
β BL dramas are like buses. You wait ten minutes for one and then 50 show up all at once.
This week, Feel What You Feel hails from Hong Kong on April 4th.

And that's not all! A couple of big Japanese titles are heading to GagaOOLala as well.
First up is the drama adaptation of Ayaka Matsumoto's Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami, which premieres in Japan on April 6 and worldwide on April 7 via GagaOOLala. That same day, another Japanese BL drama named Life In Smokey Blue arrives on GagaOOLala too, so there's plenty to get stuck into.

Queer Awakenings
You know, the hotties who "turned" you gay.
Being gay is NOT a choice. How do I know? Because I was always going to be gay after seeing this as a kid.
Actually, this video confused the hell out of me because goddamn does Christina Aguilera look great here too. But at the end of the day, I came for Ricky Martin.
"Nobody wants to be lonely." Same, Ricky!
"Nobody wants to cry." Oh my god. He just gets me.
"My body's longing to hold you." OH!
"So bad it hurts inside." Ok, we're all thinking it.

You know what? Time is precious. And it is slipping away. You're absolutely right, Ricky.
And when he sings, "Come to come, come to me"? Ricky Martin made me gay before I knew he was gay. And for that I will always be grateful.

Out Takes
Queer hidden gems you need to see
If you're not playing Robyn's new album 24 hours a day on an endless loop, what are you even doing with your life?
Getting Sexistential with the Swedish pop goddess reminded me of And Then We Danced, one of my all time favourite movies.
Writer/director Levan Akin faced so many problems filming in Georgia and even once the film was released, homophobes protested public screenings.
But it was all worth it, so so worth it, to give us this giddy love story between two male dancers who want to get physical in more ways than one (Dua Lipa could never, quite honestly).
This push and pull gets sexistential one night when Merab (Levan Gelbakhiani) slowly dances for Irakli (Bachi Valishvili).
Merab's body pulsates to the rhythmn of Robyn's song "Honey," seducing Irakli with breathless confidence. Seduction just oozes out of every pore, practically dripping.
That butt? That arch? That cocky pose as he smokes? This twink knows exactly what he wants and Robyn's gonna help him get it.
Watch the scene in full above and then check out my interview with the director at Indiewire if you fancy it. No presh!
