Mother of the Week

Where Mothers Come To Mother

Today's Mother of the Week was the easiest to choose yet, but it was also the hardest one to write about.

Catherine O'Hara died at home last week on January 30th after a brief illness. She was just 71 years old.

Now let me be clear. 'Mother of the Week' doesn’t do this icon justice. Catherine O'Hara was the Mother of an entire generation, the Mother of a lifetime.

Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin referred to her as such in one of the most moving tributes I read over the weekend:
